Locate Clarence ZIP Code Areas

Mailing labels are useful clues, but they are not municipal boundaries. The Clarence ZIP code directory sorts the town's postal geography before a name or property search begins. A ZIP can narrow a voter lookup, point to a USPS counter, or add map context to a parcel. It cannot prove that an address lies inside Town of Clarence or identify everyone who receives mail there. Check the street number against the local map, then connect the address to the parcel record when the legal town location matters.

Clarence ZIP Codes on the Official Map

The Town of Clarence identifies five practical postal ZIP areas on its official 2025 ZIP map: 14001, 14031, 14032, 14051, and 14221. The map includes a road and street index with grids, making it the local starting point instead of a generic ZIP database. It also warns that construction can modify ZIP boundaries. These ZIPs serve Clarence geography, yet a mailing-place name and a legal town boundary may not match at every address.

The official 2025 Clarence ZIP map is the source for the local ZIP and street-grid relationship. The town also provides a 2024 ZIP map for a prior map year. Neither map supports a claimed historical split date or a parcel-by-parcel ZIP polygon.

Note: The official map identifies practical service geography, but it does not provide a definitive parcel-by-parcel ZIP boundary layer.

Clarence ZIP Labels: 14031 and 14032

ZIP 14031 carries the Clarence and Clarence Hollow label for much of the town. The source identifies the Clarence Post Office at 9845 Main Street, Clarence, NY 14031-9998, with PO Box access listed as 24 hours and PO Box delivery listed Monday through Friday at 10:30 and Saturday at 10:30. The ZIP is still postal geography. A property near the edge needs parcel and map confirmation before a town or district conclusion is made.

ZIP 14032 is the Clarence Center label. The Clarence Center Post Office at 6045 Railroad Street, Clarence Center, NY 14032-9998 lists weekday counter hours of 9-12 and 1:30-4:30, Saturday hours of 10-12, PO Box access 24 hours, and delivery Monday through Saturday at 11. The research also lists the station phone as 716-741-2870. These details describe the post-office route, not a resident directory.

Use the USPS Clarence location page or the USPS Clarence Center location page after checking a street number. USPS verification is more precise than assuming a ZIP from a hamlet name.

Clarence ZIP Code Labels at the Edges

ZIP 14051 links East Amherst, Harris Hill, and nearby eastern or southern postal areas. Its documented counter is the East Amherst Post Office at 9630 Transit Road Ste 1000, East Amherst, NY 14051-9997. That postal city can appear on mail for a parcel legally in Town of Clarence. The USPS East Amherst location page provides the official location route for a street-specific check.

The 14001 Akron label and 14221 Williamsville label also appear on the Clarence map. Research did not capture a precise station address for the Akron or Williamsville route. That gap is important: it is better to verify an exact address than to infer a municipal boundary from either label. Clarence has no incorporated villages, so Clarence Center, Harris Hill, Swormville, Wolcottsburg, and The Hollow are local place names rather than proof of postal or municipal status.

Clarence ZIP Code Filters Have Different Roles

A ZIP field does not mean a portal can produce a ZIP-wide list. Clarence PROS quick search accepts an address or SBL. Its comparable-search refinements include sale date, house style, square feet, and acres, but a ZIP-wide parcel-search option was not located. Erie GIS can display ZIP context and parcel attributes such as LOCALZIP and ZIP. The voter lookup uses ZIP within a name-based individual search, not as a public roster. The New York Department of State license search does accept ZIP as one optional filter, although a license result is not proof of residence.

Portal fieldSearch or display roleWhat it can supportWhat it does not support
PROS address or SBLQuick parcel searchA Clarence property record and assessment referenceA public ZIP-wide parcel list
GIS LOCALZIP or ZIPParcel attribute and map contextPostal context beside a mapped parcelA documented streetwide export control
Voter lookup ZIPName-based address field with county and date of birthRegistration or poll-site confirmation for an individualA public ZIP roster
DOS licensee-search ZIPOptional filter with name, type, county, or cityA licensee search refinementConfirmation that a person resides at the listed address

The New York voter lookup requires county, last name, first name, date of birth, and ZIP information. Voter-registration records are limited to an elections purpose under Election Law ยง3-103(5). The New York DOS licensee search is a separate official search route with ZIP as an optional filter.

Note: A ZIP field narrows a supported query, but it does not turn a name search or parcel record into a roster.

Use Clarence ZIPs with SBL/PIN

ZIP is a useful postal filter, but SBL and PIN form the stronger parcel bridge. Erie GIS describes an SBL as section, block, and lot, with 8, 2, and 6 digits respectively. A PIN begins with the county SWIS and then carries the section, block, and lot. Clarence's assessment roll identifies SWIS 143200. Preserve the punctuation and zero-padding as shown by the roll or portal rather than rebuilding the identifier from memory.

A tax-map parcel can survive a change in postal city or a casual address label. The county clerk record can then be searched through party, legal description, map, book/page, or instrument fields. Its detail screen includes Legal, Legal2, Legal3, District, Map, Sub Map, Parcel, Sub Parcel, Parcel Week, and Reference/Town. This is the bridge from a ZIP-shaped question to a recorded land question.

ZIP code
A postal delivery area. It can cross a hamlet or municipal expectation and is not a legal parcel boundary.
ZIP+4
An added four-digit delivery detail used with a five-digit ZIP. It does not replace the parcel identifier.
PO Box ZIP
A ZIP used for post-office box mail. The research does not identify any of the five Clarence-serving ZIPs as PO-box-only.
Unique ZIP
A ZIP associated with one institution or large receiver. No such Clarence ZIP was identified in the official research.
Carrier route
A USPS delivery sequence. It helps mail operations but does not establish a Town of Clarence boundary.

Clarence ZIP Boundaries Are Not Town Lines

Postal labels and municipal geography diverge in Clarence. A parcel may receive mail as Clarence 14031, Clarence Center 14032, East Amherst 14051, Akron 14001, or Williamsville 14221. That does not prove the town line. The reverse problem also occurs near a boundary, where an address using a Clarence-serving ZIP may sit near or outside the town's legal geography. Confirm the parcel, SWIS, GIS town field, and official tax location before describing an address as a Clarence location.

For an address correction or a parcel-to-road question, the research directs readers to Town Planning and Zoning and Erie GIS. A separate public Clarence E911 address-assignment manual or dated readdressing project was not located. Do not infer an official address assignment from a postal label alone.

Clarence ZIP Code Map Changes Need Checking

The official Clarence map is useful because it joins ZIP labels to a local street index and grid. It also carries the warning that construction can alter boundaries. No definitive parcel ZIP polygon, ZIP split year, or realignment history was found in the reviewed official sources. That absence matters when comparing an old directory, deed, or parcel card with a present-day delivery label.

Older records can use a hamlet or county heading instead of a modern ZIP. Pair the road index and map with the SBL, deed legal description, census enumeration geography, or printed directory year. A postal name can change while the parcel identity remains stable. Keep the document date and map year with every Clarence ZIP conclusion.

Note: No verified Clarence ZIP split or realignment year was located, so historical postal changes should be checked against dated maps.

Limits of Clarence ZIP Searches

A ZIP can verify mail delivery context and help distinguish similar addresses. It cannot identify all people at an address, overcome protected-voter rules, or replace a custodian's records. Property owners, mailing recipients, recorded parties, and historic directory entries are different record roles. Address Confidentiality Program participants and protected voters may appropriately have limited public results.

New York Freedom of Information Law applies to agency records but allows withholding where another statute makes information confidential or disclosure would invade personal privacy. Use the official New York FOIL guidance for the state rule and contact the holder of the underlying record for a specific request. Treat blank results and unavailable fields as limits to respect, not gaps to fill with guesses.
